NBA playoff race 2026-27: every team is 0-0 and nobody has a magic number yet

As of the October 3 update, the NBA feed still reports zero games played. All 30 clubs are 0-0 with 82 to play, every one of them can still finish anywhere from first to fifteenth in its conference, and the engine returns no magic number and no tragic number for anybody. Here is what those numbers will mean once there are any.
