Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Clinch collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We receive personal data in only two ways: when you sign in with Google or Kakao (with Kakao, your Kakao member ID and nickname, plus your Kakao account email and profile photo only if you agree on Kakao's consent screen), and as records you choose to leave while signed in (posts, comments, cheers, predictions and ballpark attendance records). Most of the site, including standings and schedules, works without signing in.
Information we collect
If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email and profile photo. If you sign in with Kakao we receive your Kakao member ID and nickname. Your Kakao account email and profile photo are optional: we receive them only if you agree on Kakao's consent screen. We use the Kakao member ID only to recognise you when you sign in again, and the nickname only as your starting display name (you can change it anytime) on posts, comments, cheers and predictions. We use an email received from Kakao only to identify your account and a profile photo only to show it with your nickname, and we do not use them to send you marketing or promotional email. We store content you create (posts, comments, predictions). We also collect basic technical data such as your approximate country and browser type. If you save ballpark attendance records to your account while signed in, we store the game ID, the team you supported, when you saved it, and when you confirmed you are 14 or older, together with that game's league, ballpark (the home team's park) and date. Visits you log in My Stadium Collection store only the league, ground, visit date and when you saved it. The result and opponent are worked out from the site's game data and are not stored separately. We do not collect your location, ticket photos or seat details. If you save a coupon code on the trip coupon page while signed in, we store the public code, that coupon's last day and when you saved it in your account. When you sign in, usable codes you had saved on this device are moved to your account too. If you use 'Was this page helpful?' or 'Send feedback' at the bottom of a page, we store what you send: the page address, your thumbs up or down, the text you wrote, the language, and a short environment summary (in-app browser type, screen size, skin and theme). If you are signed in, your account identifier is stored with it; if not, we cannot tell who sent it. We do not store your IP address, raw browser details or email. If you send a message in a game page's 'Game chat', we store the message text, your nickname at the time, when you sent it, the game identifier, the language and your account identifier. Only signed-in users can write in chat; anyone can read it. We do not store your IP address or raw browser details. Please do not include personal details in messages. If you opt in to 'My team alerts' on your My page, we store, for each league (KBO, MLB, NFL, NBA, K League, KBL, V-League and European football), your sign-in email address, the club you chose, which kinds of news you want and when you consented, and we send at most one informational email a day (news from several leagues comes in one email), only on days when that club's standings figures (magic number, clinch, elimination) or the KBO postseason ticket schedule changed. We do not send advertising email. If you save a running course, we store its name, route, distance, climb, visibility, creation time and your account identifier. Only you can see the full route; when a course is shared as a link, others see it without its first and last 200 m. If you rate a course we store the rating (one per course) and your account identifier; if you upload a spot photo we store the image file, its position on the course, its size, the upload time and your account identifier. Photos are redrawn in your browser before upload, which removes location and device details (EXIF) and reduces their size. Only signed-in users can save courses, rate them or upload photos. A location found with the 'My location' button is used only to move the map and is never stored or sent to our servers.
Legal basis
We process attendance records, posts, comments, cheers, predictions and sign-in details without separate consent under Article 15(1)(4) of Korea's Personal Information Protection Act, because they are needed to provide the features you ask for. If we add optional features such as public rankings that show attendance records to other users, or alerts, we will ask for separate consent, and you can keep using everything else if you decline.
Cookies
We use cookies to remember your language, keep you signed in, and estimate your approximate country for personalisation. Settings such as your theme and My team are kept in your browser's storage on this device. Ballpark attendance records (직관 기록) you keep without signing in — the game, the team you supported and when you added it — are also stored only in your browser's storage on this device and are not sent to our servers. They are deleted when you clear your browser data or tap '이 기기 기록 모두 지우기' (clear this device's records). Visits you log in My Stadium Collection without signing in (league, ground, date and when you added it) are likewise kept only in your browser's storage on this device and are not sent to our servers; tap 'Remove' on a visit or clear your browser data to delete them. Coupon codes you save on the trip coupon page without signing in (the public code, its last day, its name and when you saved it) are likewise kept only in your browser's storage on this device and are not sent to our servers; tap 'Remove' or clear your browser data to delete them. Attendance share cards are also made on this device and are not sent to our servers, and '기록 복사하기' (copy records) copies only game IDs and supported teams to this device's clipboard. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Content loaded from another company's servers, such as Coupang Partners product recommendations, may use that company's own cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser. The site itself sets three cookies: a sign-in cookie (its name starts with sb-, only if you sign in), an approximate-country cookie (cb_country, 30 days) and a language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE, only if you choose a language yourself, 1 year). For visitors from the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland (judged by approximate country or browser time zone) we do not set the approximate-country cookie (cb_country), do not store the first-visit date (cb_first_seen) and do not load the Coupang Partners product box. Amounts you enter in the trip budget calculator, teams you pick in a standings pick before saving, and post or comment drafts kept while you sign in are also stored only in your browser's storage on this device and are not sent to our servers. While you are signed in, we keep a copy of your account's attendance records, and any records not yet uploaded, in your browser's storage on this device so pages load quickly and uploads can resume after a lost connection; we remove them when you sign out. While you are signed in, we keep a copy of your account's saved codes and their last days in your browser's storage on this device so the coupon page loads quickly; we remove it when you sign out.
Advertising & analytics
We do not currently show ads from any ad network such as Google AdSense. If we start, we will first update this policy to name the ad provider and how it uses cookies. Visit statistics come from Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. With each page view we also send one anonymous event that holds only ranges and types: page speed (LCP, INP, CLS), browser environment (in-app browser type, web push support, whether the site was opened as a home-screen app, whether a My team is set) and how long ago this browser was first seen. No ID or cookie is created, and the first-seen date stays in your browser's storage on this device. We also send one anonymous event when you click an affiliate link or a share button. It records only which spot and which button. When you open an inquiry email from the quote calculator on the Advertise & Partnerships page, we send one anonymous event with the quote you chose (spot, start month, length, package and amount). Some pages include Coupang Partners (Korean-language pages) and Klook affiliate links; we earn a commission on purchases made through them. Pressing the 'Was this page helpful?' or 'Send feedback' buttons also sends one anonymous event, which carries only whether it was a thumbs up or down and the feedback type.
Service providers
We rely on Google and Kakao (sign-in), Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting and visit statistics). Your account details and the posts, comments and predictions you write are stored in Supabase's Seoul region (AWS Asia Pacific (Seoul)), and the site's servers also run in Vercel's Seoul region. Kakao sign-in is handled by Kakao, a Korean company; if you choose it we receive your Kakao member ID and nickname, plus your Kakao account email and profile photo only if you agree on Kakao's consent screen. Two things are processed outside Korea. Google sign-in is handled by Google, a US company; when you sign in we receive your Google account's name, email address and profile picture. Vercel (US) may process visit statistics and basic technical information about your visit (such as IP address and browser details) outside Korea, mainly in the United States. Why: to sign you in, host the site, and count visits. It is kept only as long as the service needs it. If you would rather not share your Google account details, you can sign in with Kakao instead or use the site without signing in; without signing in, features that need an account will be unavailable. Alert emails are delivered through Resend (United States); the recipient address and the subject and body of each email pass through its servers.
Your rights & data retention
You can edit or delete your own posts and comments anytime. To see, correct or delete your data, to stop us processing it, or to delete your account, email lyel1029@gmail.com and we will act without undue delay. We keep data only as long as needed. This site is not directed at children under 14. Attendance records are kept until you delete them or your account is deleted. Deleted records are removed right away and stay in service backups for up to 7 days before they are erased. When you save attendance records to your account we ask you to confirm you are 14 or older, and we delete without delay any account found to belong to someone under 14. Records kept without signing in stay on your device and never reach us. Saved codes are kept until you tap 'Remove' or your account is deleted, and are deleted right away when removed. Feedback is kept for up to one year after it is handled and then deleted. Please do not include personal details in feedback. To have feedback you sent deleted, email the address above and we will delete it without delay. Chat messages are deleted automatically 7 days after they are sent (a message with a pending report is kept until the report is handled), and you can delete your own messages before then. A message reported by three different people is hidden immediately and reviewed by the operator. You can turn alerts off at any time, one league at a time with 'Turn off this league' on your My page or for every league at once with the unsubscribe link in an email, and when you turn them off or delete your account we delete the affected alert settings (email, club, consent time) right away. The sending record (who got which news when) is deleted after 90 days. Running courses are kept until you delete them; deleting a course also deletes its route, ratings and photo records. You can delete your own photos and ratings at any time, and closing your account deletes all of your courses, ratings and photo records. A course or photo reported by three different people is reviewed by the operator, and a photo reported by three people for showing faces or licence plates, or for not being the uploader’s own, is hidden immediately. Toilet, drinking-water and store information on the map comes from OpenStreetMap's public data.
