How many teams make the MLB postseason?
Six per league, twelve in all. The three division winners take seeds 1–3; the three best remaining records take seeds 4–6 as wild cards. Seeds 1 and 2 skip the Wild Card Series.
Does the sixth-best record in the league make it?
Not necessarily. Division winners are in regardless of record, so a team with a better record can still miss out if it loses the wild-card race.
Do these numbers use official tiebreakers?
No. They use win percentage and games remaining only, and ties go against the team in question, so a clinch can show later than the official one. Head-to-head and division records are not applied.
When do games start in my time zone?
Evening games on the US East Coast start around 08:00 KST; West Coast evening games around 11:00 KST. Check each club's schedule for exact times.
