As of the October 18 update. All six round 32 matches are done and every club has played 32 of 38. Ulsan, Jeonbuk and Gangwon joined Seoul in Final A, Pohang and Anyang are certain of Final B, and three clubs are left for two places: Daejeon and Jeju need a draw, Incheon need a win. Seoul are now certain of a top three finish, and a win over Gangwon on October 24 makes them champions.

One round is left before the K League 1 table splits, and it comes down to three clubs for two places. Daejeon Hana Citizen and Jeju SK sit fifth and sixth on 46 points, Incheon United seventh on 43. All six matches of round 33 are on Saturday, October 24, and two of the three clubs meet: Jeju go to Incheon, while Daejeon go to Gimcheon Sangmu. We ran all 729 win, draw and loss combinations of that round through the engine behind the site's tables. Daejeon are in Final A with a draw or a win at Gimcheon, and so are Jeju with a draw or a win at Incheon. Incheon need to win. A draw or a defeat puts them in Final B whatever else happens.

Every figure here is as of the October 18 update, 192 of the season's 228 matches. All twelve clubs have played 32 and have six left, one before the split and five after it. Round 32 opened on October 17 with Ulsan HD beating Bucheon FC 1995 2-1. On October 18 Pohang Steelers and FC Anyang drew 0-0, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors beat Jeju 3-2, FC Seoul drew 2-2 with Gimcheon, Daejeon beat Gwangju FC 3-2 and Gangwon FC drew 1-1 with Incheon. Clinch numbers assume the worst case, that every rival takes maximum points from every match it has left, and a rival who can finish exactly level is counted as a threat.

The table reads Seoul 66, Ulsan 50, Jeonbuk 47, Gangwon 47, Daejeon 46, Jeju 46, Incheon 43, Anyang 42, Pohang 41, Gimcheon 34, Bucheon 32 and Gwangju 18. The K League separates clubs level on points by goals scored first, which is why Jeonbuk (42) are above Gangwon (39) and Daejeon (51) above Jeju (38). Ulsan clinched a top six place by beating Bucheon, Jeonbuk by beating Jeju and Gangwon with their draw against Incheon, so four places are settled. Pohang and Anyang both needed to win their meeting, and the goalless draw left them at most on 44 and 45, below the 46 that Daejeon and Jeju already have. They join Gimcheon, Bucheon and Gwangju in Final B.

If Incheon do beat Jeju, the two finish level on 46, and Incheon are certain to be above Jeju on goals scored. They start the day two ahead, 40 to 38, and a win means scoring more than Jeju in that match. Then Daejeon decide the rest. If Daejeon avoid defeat at Gimcheon they are above both and Incheon take sixth, with Jeju in Final B. If Daejeon lose as well, all three clubs finish on 46 and goals scored separates them. Daejeon start that count on 51, eleven clear of Incheon. In every other combination, which is any result except an Incheon win, Daejeon and Jeju go through and Incheon do not.

The title can be settled on the same afternoon. Seoul's title number is 3, down from 4. Ulsan, the only other club still in the race, can reach 68 at most, so 69 makes Seoul champions. Seoul are at home to Gangwon on October 24 and Ulsan at home to Pohang. A Seoul win settles it. A Seoul draw settles it unless Ulsan beat Pohang. A Seoul defeat settles it only if Ulsan also lose, because a Seoul defeat with an Ulsan draw leaves Ulsan able to reach exactly Seoul's 66, and a tie is not a clinch. Ulsan's title elimination number is 1. If the title is not settled that day, the remaining five matches are played inside Final A, where Seoul and Ulsan are both certain to be.

Seoul's draw with Gimcheon was enough for one thing. Their continental number was 3 before the weekend, and Jeju's defeat at Jeonbuk meant a draw would do. Seoul are now certain of a top three finish. Ulsan's number for the top three fell from 21 to 16, and no other club has one. Round 33 cannot settle Ulsan's place either way. Anyang, Pohang, Bucheon and Gwangju are out of the continental race because they are in Final B, and the top three are inside Final A. Gimcheon, as a military club, cannot take a continental place and are left out of that count.

At the bottom, Gwangju have 18 points and can reach 36. Their relegation elimination number fell from 3 to 2, and with the fixtures it is one match. Gwangju go to Bucheon on October 24, and a defeat there leaves them certain of last place, whatever else happens, because Bucheon would move to 35 and Gimcheon already have 34. A draw or a win at Bucheon means it cannot be settled that day. Gimcheon need 3 more points to be certain of finishing above Gwangju and Bucheon 5. Gimcheon are certain with a win over Daejeon, with a draw unless Gwangju win at Bucheon, and even with a defeat if Bucheon beat Gwangju. Bucheon are certain only by beating Gwangju.

All six round 33 matches are on Saturday, October 24: Pohang at Ulsan, Gangwon at Seoul, Jeju at Incheon, Gwangju at Bucheon, Jeonbuk at Anyang and Daejeon at Gimcheon. After that the top six and the bottom six play five more matches each inside their own group, and no club can move from one group to the other.

How to read these numbers. A clinch number is the smallest further return, counted in league points, that guarantees an outcome even if every rival takes maximum points from everything it has left. A tragic number is the count of further defeats after which the outcome becomes impossible even if the club wins everything else. Zero means already settled, and no number at all means arithmetic alone cannot get there. The Final A figures count only the match left before round 33 is complete. The combinations above use the real fixtures, so they can settle things with fewer points than the table's numbers. A rival who can finish exactly level counts against a club when we decide a clinch, so our clinch can trail an official announcement by a day. Goal difference, head-to-head records and the other official tiebreakers are not part of this arithmetic.
