How standings are ranked
Ranked by points (win 3, draw 1, loss 0). Ties are broken by goal difference, then goals scored.
Top 3 to the AFC Champions League · Bottom 1 relegated
European places & relegation
- Twelve clubs play 33 rounds, then split into a top six and a bottom six for five more games each — 38 in total.
- After the split, every club in the top six finishes above every club in the bottom six.
- The leading clubs take the AFC Champions League Elite and Two places (the Korea Cup winner also qualifies; the number of places can change by season).
- The bottom club is relegated to K League 2, and the club above it plays a promotion-relegation playoff.
