How to Watch a KBO Baseball Game in Seoul: Tickets, Stadiums and Getting to Jamsil
A visitor's guide to Korean pro baseball: when the season runs, the ten clubs and their ballparks, which official sites sell tickets, what the KBO says about foreigners at the box office, and how to reach Jamsil by subway. Every fact comes from the KBO, the clubs or major Korean outlets.

The KBO League is Korea's top professional baseball league, with ten clubs. The 2026 regular season opened on March 28, a little later than usual because of the World Baseball Classic in early March (The Korea Times), and the KBO scheduled it to finish on October 12. The top five then play the postseason, which began on October 14. The KBO's English-language site, eng.koreabaseball.com, has the official schedule, scoreboard and standings, but no ticket menu.
If you are in Korea now, the 2026 season is not over yet. The playoff between Samsung and KIA starts on October 25, with Samsung at home for games 1, 2 and 5 and KIA for games 3 and 4. The Korean Series is scheduled from November 2 to November 10; games 6 and 7 are played only if needed. KT finished the regular season first, so KT hosts games 1, 2, 6 and 7, and the playoff winner hosts games 3, 4 and 5. Weekday games start at 6:30 p.m. and weekend and holiday games at 2 p.m. Korea time, and a rained-out game moves to the next day. The full bracket is on our postseason page.
If you are planning for next year, the KBO has not published the 2027 schedule. As of October 25 its notice board has no 2027 dates, so we do not give any here. When the schedule comes out it will appear on our KBO schedule page.
The ten clubs play in nine ballparks, and each has a guide page on this site. LG Twins and Doosan Bears: Seoul's Jamsil Baseball Stadium; Kiwoom Heroes: Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome; SSG Landers: Incheon SSG Landers Field; KT Wiz: Suwon kt wiz park; Hanwha Eagles: Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark, which opened in 2025; Samsung Lions: Daegu Samsung Lions Park; KIA Tigers: Gwangju-Kia Champions Field; NC Dinos: Changwon NC Park; Lotte Giants: Busan's Sajik Baseball Stadium.
Jamsil changes after this season. Seoul Metropolitan Government announced in 2024 that LG and Doosan would leave the current ballpark after 2026 and play the five seasons from 2027 to 2031 at a temporary ballpark built inside the Olympic Stadium next door, while a 30,000-seat domed ballpark goes up on the old site, with completion targeted for 2032. The clubs have not yet published visitor information for the temporary park. The details are in our earlier story.
Each club sells regular-season tickets through its own official channel, as listed on the KBO's ticket page. LG, Hanwha, Samsung, KT and KIA use Ticketlink; Doosan and Kiwoom use NOL, Yanolja's ticket service; SSG sells on SSG.COM Ticket, and Lotte and NC run their own club ticket sites. LG opens sales seven days before the game at 11 a.m., with up to eight tickets per person per game. Kiwoom opens seven days before at 2 p.m., with up to four per person, and admits only the moving barcode in the app, not a screenshot. Doosan also refuses screenshots and caps each booking at four. Lotte does not sell to non-members.
Foreign visitors should know two things. First, The Korea Times notes that some ticketing apps ask for a Korean mobile number, which can make buying online hard for tourists, and it names Ticketlink Global and NOL World as platforms. We could not confirm on the sellers' own pages which clubs, cards or languages they support, so check the seller's site before you count on it. Second, for this year's playoff the KBO said all tickets are sold in advance on NOL, up to four per person, and that any returned tickets go on sale at the ballpark from two hours before the first pitch. It added that foreigners with a passport can buy one ticket per person at the box office. The KBO had not posted its Korean Series ticket notice as of October 25.
Jamsil is the easiest park to reach. Take Seoul subway Line 2 or Line 9 to Sports Complex Station; the LG and Doosan stadium pages point to exits 5 and 6, and The Korea Herald describes exit 5 as leading straight to the ballpark. For Gocheok, Kiwoom's page says Guil Station on Line 1 is about 100 m from exit 2, roughly a three-minute walk. The venue guides list each park's nearest station and its official directions and parking pages.
Ballpark food is part of the night out. The Korea Herald describes chimaek, fried chicken with beer, as the classic stadium pairing, and many clubs sell menus found only at their home park. The Korea Times says outside food is generally allowed but the rules differ by ballpark, and glass containers are banned everywhere. The KBO publishes a league-wide stadium safety guideline, linked from our venue guides, so check it before you pack.
Where you sit changes the experience. Some sections are cheering zones led by cheerleaders, and The Korea Times notes that fans there stand and sing along while their team is batting and stay calmer when the other side bats. If you would rather watch quietly, check the seat map before you buy.
To plan a trip, the stadium trip map shows every ballpark with its next home games, and the weekend planner groups games you can see in one weekend. The English KBO schedule and postseason pages also show KBO game packages from a travel partner; those are affiliate links and are labelled as such on the page.
