Bayern Munich are top. They beat RB Leipzig 6-1 on October 18, Korean time, moved from 11 points to 14, and are level with Dortmund, who drew 0-0 at Union Berlin the day before. Bayern have scored 22 goals and conceded 5, Dortmund 11 and 4. Freiburg, top before the round, lost 2-1 at Leverkusen and are third on 13, level with Leverkusen. Those four are the only clubs with a top four clinch number, as they were a week ago.

Everything here is as of the October 19 update. Fifty-four of the season's 306 matches are in, and all 18 clubs have played six and have 28 left, worth up to 84 points each. The round ran from October 17 to October 19, Korean time, home side first: Hamburg 1-0 Stuttgart, Schalke 0-1 Mainz, Union Berlin 0-0 Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 Köln, Elversberg 4-3 Augsburg and Werder Bremen 2-2 Paderborn on the 17th, Bayern Munich 6-1 RB Leipzig and Leverkusen 2-1 Freiburg on the 18th, and Mönchengladbach 1-2 Hoffenheim on the 19th.

The top four line fell from 97 to 95. It sits one above the fourth highest ceiling among a club's rivals, and the highest ceilings below the top four are now Mainz's and Elversberg's 94. Both won, but both are on 10 points. Bayern's and Dortmund's 14 plus 81 and Freiburg's and Leverkusen's 13 plus 82 all come to 95. What each can still drop went from 1 to 3 for Bayern and from nothing to 2 for Leverkusen, whose 87 of 87 a week ago meant winning every match left. Dortmund's margin stayed at 3 and Freiburg's fell from 3 to 2.

Nobody has a title number. Bayern had a title tragic number of 29 a week ago; now that they are level on points with Dortmund, neither of the two has one. Freiburg and Leverkusen have 28, every match they have left. Mainz and Elversberg are fifth and sixth on 10, Leipzig, beaten 6-1, seventh on 9.

At the bottom the Bundesliga relegates two clubs directly and the 16th plays a relegation play-off, so the line here is for avoiding automatic relegation, a top 16 finish, not for being safe. That total fell from 91 to 90. The two lowest ceilings are Mönchengladbach's 84 and the 89 shared by Schalke, Paderborn and Union Berlin, all on 5 points. All three had a line before the round, 86 for Schalke and 87 for Paderborn and Union, and all three lost it: Schalke lost 1-0 at home to Mainz, Paderborn drew 2-2 in Bremen and Union held Dortmund 0-0. None of them has a relegation tragic number either.

Hoffenheim went the other way. They won 2-1 at Mönchengladbach, moved from 3 points to 6, and swapped a relegation tragic number of 29 for a line of 84, every point they have left. Stuttgart, beaten 1-0 at Hamburg, are also on 6 with a line of 84. Fourteen clubs carry a line, from 76 for Bayern and Dortmund up to those two 84s. Mönchengladbach have lost all six matches and have no points. Their relegation tragic number went from 28 to 27 and is the only one in the league.

Nothing is clinched or eliminated, and every club can still finish anywhere from first to 18th. The next round cannot change that: after it the widest gap in the table can be 17 points, with 27 matches, 81 points, left for everyone. The round runs from October 24 to October 26, Korean time. Stuttgart host Mönchengladbach on the 24th, when Köln host Schalke, Augsburg host Union Berlin and Paderborn host Hamburg. On the 25th Dortmund host Eintracht Frankfurt and Hoffenheim host Leverkusen, and on the 26th Freiburg host Bayern. Hoffenheim's 84 is every point they have left, so anything short of a win against Leverkusen ends it.

How to read these numbers. A clinch number is the minimum a club must still collect for an outcome to be guaranteed even if every rival wins every remaining match. A tragic number is how many more defeats make an outcome impossible even if the club wins everything else. A reachable range is the highest and the lowest finish still arithmetically open. A rival who can only draw level still counts as a threat to a clinch, while a rival has to finish clearly above a club to eliminate it. Goal difference, head to head records and the league's tiebreakers are not part of the calculation. The table is at, the remaining fixtures at, the qualification and relegation rules at, every club's numbers at and the method at.
