- 1.Eight nations are split into two groups. Group A: Japan, China, Philippines, Palestine. Group B: Chinese Taipei, South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand.
- 2.Each group is a four-team round robin — three games per team (21-23 September).
- 3.The top two from each group, four teams in all, reach the Super Round (25-26 September). The group result against the team that advanced from the same group carries over; each plays the two qualifiers from the other group.
- 4.The third- and fourth-placed teams from each group play placement games on the same days.
- 5.On 27 September the Super Round's third and fourth play for bronze; first and second play for gold.
- 6.Baseball has no draws — extra innings decide. Group ties are broken by head-to-head record, then TQB (Team Quality Balance).
